Nutrition
We promise to always serve you with intentionality. Fresh, organic, whole ingredients.
“Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food.”
Here at Garden Grounds, we believe food is a source of nourishment and fuel for the body. Unlike many conventional food products, our ingredients are free from synthetic pesticides, harmful additives, GMOs, seed oils, hormones, and soy.
No Seed Oils:
Seed oils are heavily processed and highly inflammatory; instead, we use grass-fed butter and cold-pressed oils like extra virgin olive oil and avocado oil to support heart and brain health
No Hormones:
Our animal products come from farms that never use growth hormones or antibiotics, ensuring a cleaner, more ethical source of protein. It is also grass-fed and finished to ensure they are not fed grains, soy, etc.
Always Organic:
Our produce is organic and always fresh, we strive to serve you only the best. No chemical pesticides are used and we clean our produce well to achieve the highest, cleanest quality. Organic isn’t a trend, it’s a return to tradition.
Gluten Free:
We strive to stay away from conventional gluten which is highly processed and full of GMOs which makes it difficult for our bodies to process. We really don’t see a need for gluten as we get our carbs from whole foods such as potatoes, fruits, veggies, oats, dates, etc. We do serve a delicious sourdough for those bread lovers to enjoy;)
No Refined or Artificial Sugars:
God gave us soo many delicious natural sweeteners here on this earth from fruit, to trees, to bees! Our homemade syrups are made from these natural sweeteners like raw honey, maple syrup, and coconut sugar! Same with our overnight oats and gf waffles. Refined and artificial sugars disrupts gut bacteria which plays a critical role in digestion, immunity, and even mood regulation. Not to mention the addictive chemicals in a lot of these highly processed sugars. This is why we serve you an alternative option, your body thanks you for nourishing it well!
“The food you eat can either be the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison.” Ann Wigmore
When Should I Have Coffee?
We believe in supplying your body with hydration and protein + nutrients when it wakes up to properly fuel your body for the day! So before you reach for that cup of coffee, have a glass of water and eat your breakfast y’all!
Why Eat Before Coffee?
Food is fuel! Not coffee. Having coffee first creates a quick spike but follows with a crash. Food triggers digestive enzymes that protect your stomach from the acidity of coffee. If you’re looking for an improvement in your focus, mood, digestion, and energy, start your morning off with protein and healthy fats!
Stay Hydrated!
75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated and coffee actually plays a role in that. So make sure you are hydrating with water, electrolytes, juices, whatever keeps you going! It might sounds crazy to say since we serve coffee, but limiting coffee intake is encouraged— if you are reliant on a caffeine boost, try a tea or matcha!
Why start your day with protein?
Protein is made up of amino acids, which your body uses to make key hormones like dopamine and serotonin. These affect mood, motivation, and stress response. Protein helps stabilize blood sugar levels, avoiding the crash you might get from a high-carb breakfast. People who skip protein in the morning often crave sugary or salty snacks later. Protein is key to stabilizing hormones, gaining muscle, increasing focus, and boosting metabolism.
Our Vision
We love to connect with the community weather that looks like morning bible studies, worship nights, or just chatting with a friend. While space is limited for now, we would love for you to come hang out with us at the trailer and have a seat at our little outdoor area!
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8
